Here’s how it went down 👇@Minwax 🖤 🪵 Stripped the top down to bare wood 🖤 Applied Minwax One Step in True Black (color + topcoat in ONE layer, no separate sealing step) ✂️ Cut down some pole wrap for the fluted texture on the drawer fronts 🖌️ Added One Step over that once the first layer dried ✨ Light 220 grit sand, then a second coat to deepen the color 🎨 Painted the body black in a satin finish to contrast the semi-gloss stain That contrast is what really sells the moody, dramatic look from the inspo pic. New hardware, and we’ve got a $1,300 look for basically nothing 😮‍💨 Genuinely one of the easiest finishes I’ve done. If you’ve been intimidated by staining, this is your sign to try it.
