You filmed the whole property in one day or a week of stay? How do you film and take these great detailed pictures and still have time to enjoy your stay? This must feel like work rather than a vacation. Lovely place.

As thousands of candidates sit their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations, Nyabisase SDA Mixed Secondary School has taken centre stage amid reports of additional charges that could generate more than KSh 6.1 million if collected from all candidates. At the school, Principal Richard Ondati has been named in complaints concerning a reported KSh 5,000 per-candidate contribution, said to be for feeding national examination personnel, alongside a separate reported KSh 500 demand for specially printed T-shirts for a prayer day. With 1,111 candidates, the KSh 5,000 contribution alone would total KSh 5,555,000 if every candidate paid. Adding the KSh 500 T-shirt charge would bring the projected total to KSh 6,110,500, if both charges applied to all candidates and were fully collected. The matter has raised questions about the financial burden on parents during the national examination period and the need for transparent explanations of the purpose and authorisation of such charges. Nyabisase is not the only school facing questions over KCSE facilitation fees. Nyachogochogo AIC Secondary School has a reported KSh 7,000 charge per candidate, while Masosa Secondary School has a reported KSh 4,000 charge. Sameta Boys High School has a proposed KSh 2,000 contribution. St. Clare Suguta Girls High School has also been named among schools whose examination-related charges require clarification. The Ministry of Education and the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) are being urged to clarify the official arrangements for examination personnel and explain the approvals required for any additional charges passed on to parents. Article 53 of the Constitution guarantees every child the right to free and compulsory basic education. Section 29 of the Basic Education Act, 2013, addresses additional charges in public schools and applicable approval requirements. The facts and legal position of each case must be independently established. The school administrations concerned should explain the basis, authorisation and accounting of the reported or proposed contributions. The allegations do not, by themselves, establish wrongdoing, but parents deserve clear answers and candidates should not be unfairly disadvantaged by unexplained financial demands. KCSE should test students’ knowledge—not their parents’ pockets.
