Advil/ibuprofen works better for cramps and also it’s actually easier and will require less pain relievers if you start taking it before it’s absolutely terrible instead of having to bring the pain level down before trying to get it under control.

Yep, I hate taking anything that isnt absolutely needed. If I feel I can ride through the pain I do, if it gets bad , I take 1 Aleve and thats it the whole time of my period. Mind you its MUCH easier now that im in Perimenopause and they only last 2 days, 3 at the most ! my pain is also not horrible like others, my daughter has endometriosis though and it is very hard to watch someone go through that , she has to load up on pain meds :(

You can potentially skip the extreme pain if you manage it before it gets that bad. However there’s no rule on it so do what you’re comfortable with
