The movie hardly feels like it’s at within Raccoon City at all, I love the movie it was amazing, but that’s just how it is. Take out the small game Easter eggs, cuz that’s just all they are, and it’s just a different zombie IP. The Umbrella Logo nor the RCPD has any mention in the film at all. Umbrella OWNS Raccoon City, their logo and presence should be felt. Not to mention this outbreak acts nothing like the T-Virus.

People who say it’s not resident don’t know anything about more played the game the movie was exactly playing the game with a new character/story. Same thing though survival horror movie was so good I watched it three times and more to come.

Nope. Resident Evil doesn’t make the entire plot and premise a joke. It doesn’t have the main character be completely incompetent throughout. There was no boss fight at the end.

I feel like it would’ve been better to wait 30 minutes and have him get bit by the rats in the sewer instead of the overpass tunnel. Fits with the lore, helps explain Leon/Claire not getting infected, and eases off the off the tension a little. So we get the PERFECT balance of horror and humor the first half of the film established a little longer. Would’ve brought the movie from an 8/10 to a 9/10 for me 🤷‍♂️

Am I the only one that likes the final bosses in resident evil and like how you get to shoot the bad guy with a rocket launcher at the end. That’s a feeling the movie was really missing as far as how playing the games feels, the satisfaction of getting to that point in the game in the first place

this is a mix of re7 and re2 remake. their even a sewer level! I played all the resident evil games and beat the original trilogy on ps1. I wish some umbrella army guys were in the lab or a game character heard his voice note. but it totally works with out these elements.

I played every re game (yes EVERY game) and although it doesn’t feel too much like a re game, it still feels heavily inspired, like i guarantee if Zach just made a normal non re movie and it was this one EVERYONE would be saying how much it feels like a re game
