PLEASE SHARE! 📧PLEASE EMAIL: 💗sjrescue@sanjoseca.gov 💗cats@Sjanimaladvocates.org Rolo came in OBESE and in RESPIRATORY DISTRESS 😿 He had chest x-rays showing a bronchial pattern possible bronchitis + feline asthma. He got a steroid injection + antibiotics and his breathing is more stable now, but he is still VERY vulnerable. The shelter is TERRIFYING for him. He is so scared he freezes in place all day and is NOT EATING 💔 Which is extremely dangerous for an obese cat because he can quickly develop fatty liver disease [hepatic lipidosis]. What he needs IMMEDIATELY is out of the shelter: 🏡 A quiet, low stress foster home where he can start eating consistently again 🩺 A rescue to pull him, he will need vet follow up for his breathing + a slow, vet guided weight loss plan. If this is asthma, it will need long term management. He is just a baby at 1 year old.
