Hi, tyems. My name is Kristen. I'm a shoemaker who is intentional about her craft. I learnt most of what i know about the craft, from YouTube ( i couldn't afford physical training). Proudly, i have mastered the craft to a credible extent, regardless. Currently, i am looking to go for further training ( learn how to make bespoke shoes properly), but finance has been a hindrance. I can get money for the training, if i can get people to buy up to 50 pamslippers from me. I make very neat and beautiful handcrafted footwears. Furthering my training will give me access to a larger customer base, help me get a space ( i currently work outside my place of residence) since i would be able to make more money and also buy better equipment. Today I’m making an African dish that isn’t widely known across the continent 👀🇨🇲 It’s called Achu soup that originates from Cameroon!  Whilst this is definitely known within Cameroon it may seem familiar to outsiders The unique appearance of the soup is what makes it stand out.  Almost golden in colour and most definitely tasty.  It uses pounded coco yam as the base acting as a well for the soup.** Ingredients: 500g assorted meat 2 maggi cubes 1 tbsp concentrated chicken stock 2 cups water For the blended mixture: 200ml palm oil 1 tsp achu spice 1/2 tsp potash (or bicarbonate of soda) 1 cup reserved meat stock 6 cocoyams 1/2 tsp salt 1. Start by mixing together the ingredients for the assorted meat. Bring it to the boil and allow it to simmer for around 2 hours until the meat is tender and has created a golden stock 2. Blend together the all the ingredients until just combined as shown above. It will instantly create a yellow looking sauce 3. Boil the coco yam in a pot of boiling water until tender to the touch 4. Peel the yams and process in a food processor whilst hot until blended into a paste 5. Serve up!
