Sketchy Igloo :

ik ppl will probably disagree with me... but if this is anyone's FIRST TIME watching a donghua (Chinese anime) PLEASE PLEASE read the book along with it and even look up spoilers (after the show preferably) so you can properly understand the cultural nuances and what is going on!!! This is politics and horror so its two complex concepts with LOTS of undertones that can get pretty confusing. This is ESPECIALLY so when you add the cultural differences on top of it. Ex: the mischaracterization of Lan Zhan's character. Eloquence in China is the ability to use as few words with precision. (Bascially bro knows a fuck ton of words and never needs to over explain or ramble) Whereas in English eloquence is the ability to make words flow. Its speaking with grace and persuasiveness. (Think poetry) So theres a common misunderstanding about the ML just due to this difference in language between the two cultures. With these differences in mind im sure you will all come to love this story
