I think you’re speaking to something very true here. But I also think there’s some caveats that come along with it, like some people actually aren’t even using their speaking voice properly and probably need speech therapy. Yes, I am being a little nitpicky here, and I don’t want to distract from what you’re saying, but healthy speaking habits are just as important as healthy singing habits for maintaining your voice over the course of a career. But as far as feeling effort when you’re singing, yeah, I totally agree that it shouldn’t really feel like any more effort than speaking
