We had a patient that was CROSSING HER LEGS refusing to push her baby out as the heart rate was continuously declining. Another nurse grabbed her face and said “if you push this baby out, I will give you a popsicle”… 1 push, that baby was out

Worked memory care 10 years.. the amount of times, I’ve changed how I look (pulled hair up/put it down, took jacket off/put it on, stethoscope and badge off) walked down the hall and came back to offer someone a snack??? Hangry is a thing 😅

Had a woman tell me her entire plan to off our administrator as well as our nurses, then I was going to take her far away and we'd never be caught (dementia is rough), and I told her we needed to eat dinner first because we needed to have food in our system before going on the run. She was perfectly fine after dinner

A dementia pt was calling me all kinda of things while I was inserting a foley and then I was like damn I could use a Dr Pepper. And she was like “oh yeah I love Dr Pepper. And a burgers” and then we had a full conversation about good burgers we’ve had 💀

Had a pt get a tray had hot coffee picked it up and threw it at one of my nurses. Another time psych pt said ok to an apple. Also hurled that at the nurses aide. After at the debrief. What could we have done better I said. Softer snacks?
