The issue isn’t that he’s getting his stuff back, it’s that he’s regressing as a character. The way s2 ended it seemed like he was poised to be alone for the season and having to explore his place in the galaxy without Grogu. He seemed like he was deconstructing from his faith and we were going to see his slow breakdown of disregarding the arbitrary rules he’s been confined by. But nah let’s immediately give him grogu back and have him get rebaptized and backslide right where he was before the end of s2 instead of doing something interesting with him we’re just gonna keep him stickin with the status quo because this show prints too much money for us to shake it up at all
