📣 Stop interrupting your child’s play! ❌ . We live in a parenting culture where we think *more* is better - more structured activities, more time spent playing with your child, more talking, etc. But guess what? 👉 Your child learns SO MUCH from playing by themselves! . When we (adults) insert ourselves into our child’s play - by commenting, suggesting ideas, or asking questions - we take away from their ability to problem-solve, be creative, and entertain themselves…. All skills that are VITAL to the healthy development of a child’s brain 🧠 . So STOP feeling guilty that your child is playing by themselves. Rather, think of it as a *good* thing! 👏 . The more you stop inserting yourself into your child’s play, the better they will be at playing independently. This frees up more time for YOU to get stuff done around the house, send an email, have a convo with your partner, etc - sounds nice, am I right?! .
