Schindler’s Ark - I read it at 17 and before the film came out…then I watched the movie with my grandparents later that year…will never forget how impactful it was. Ken Burns’ documentaries are elite.

Ken Burns documentary about Vietnam was incredible. not a book obviously but certainly got me reading more about it

The Bedford Boys by Alex Kershaw, about D-Day, as I am a June 6th birthday, and have read a lot of D-Day. This one stuck.
