I don’t think we need to generalize, there’s a wave of people with bad experiences I get it but trying to get this into new generations with wrong misinformation. The message shouldn’t be “don’t get married” because you’re just projecting yourself. It should be “marry a good person, marry the correct person, be smart and choose wisely” because in the same way that there are men who are bad at marriage there’s also a lot of women who are bad at marriage. There’s good man out there, there’s good women out there.

I’m so sorry that happened to you. I am married for 38 years and I would marry him again tomorrow. Has this marriage been perfect absolutely not. You never have perfect relationships with anyone. Mine came with seven brothers they all call me sister and I’m an only child. We have never been able to have children and now we’re kinda glad we didn’t. No all marriages are horrible and not all men are horrible. The bad ones make the rest look bad too. I’ll pray for your healing, peace and comfort. No one should be treated the way you were.

Been married twice, the first time I was young and dumb, the second was the biggest green flag… so loving, supportive, caring, high-effort, my best friend, my second chance and the “love of my life”… we were planning a family and he took care of me so well after I miscarried and it was the darkest time of my life and he was so loving and patient and kind… then I found out about his long-term affair with a coworker that started only 8 months into our marriage 🙃 so yeah, don’t get married, that guy was the one that had me saying “my man is AMAZING and would NEVER” and “when you know you know” coz I knew it in my bones that he was it for me, and was the best partner I could imagine… and it’s just proven to me that you NEVER know what anyone is capable of, anyone can betray you
