Prophet Muhammad described him as "the master of the desert dwellers" (Sayyid Ahl al-Wabar). * Al-Hurr ibn Yazid al-Riyahi (الحر بن يزيد الرياحي): A high-ranking commander and knight from Banu Tamim who initially intercepted Al-Husayn ibn Ali at Karbala, but switched sides to fight alongside Al-Husayn, where he was martyred. * Al-Ahnaf ibn Qays (الأحنف بن قيس): A legendary leader, warrior, and statesman known across Arabia for his unmatched clemency (Hilm), wisdom, and battlefield leadership during the conquests of Khurasan. * Al-Aqra' ibn Habis al-Darimi (الأقرع بن حابس): A prominent tribal leader, judge, and knight of Banu Tamim in pre-Islamic times who later became a Companion of the Prophet and participated in the conquests of Mecca, Hunayn, and Iraq.
