Was diagnosed in June. Still waiting to see the rheumatologist in October. Have been in a flare up pretty much constantly since May. Hoping for some relief soon.

Thank you for sharing, I resonate with you and what you said. I have rheumatoid arthritis, sjogrens and possible myasthenia gravis. I just got out of a harsh flare-up. That inflammation is a monster I definitely be feeling it the warmth, pain and severe fatigue. I have never seen so many specialist in my life until being diagnosed with these autoimmune diseases. I'm seeing a cardiologist because the RA is messing with my heart. These autoimmune diseases can shut organs down. I totally agree with you. This was a great video. Thank you [Starry hearts][Starry hearts][Starry hearts]

If you don’t mind me asking, how far into disease progression were you when you tried to heal your RA holistically and not use meds? I ask because I am very early on and immediately got my inflammation down and labs back into negative range on the AIP diet. I know I am just kicking the can down the road before starting meds but I’m also worried I’m going to push it too far and I’ll miss when joint damage starts. As of now there is none.

What are your thoughts on going on a biologic? I’ve been on plaquenil for almost 3 years now, I still get flare ups every now and then and my RA doctor recommended I go on Enbrel. I’m scared because it will suppress my immune system so I’m trying natural ways, but as you said, I don’t want to wait it out too long

Thank you for sharing this! My most impacted joints are also wrist, fingers and elbows. I tried to skip my medication and oh boy I need to stick to it. The food and medication part!! Yes, I agree the medication has done more for me than anything. My change of diet has definitely helped but has not replaced medication.

I have had ra for over 30 years now. My wrists are just like that and so is my ankles. I now have 5 autoimmune diseases. i was young when I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. When I was first diagnosed It was so aggressive on my body it started in my hips. I couldn’t walk for 2 years. Finally I got my hips replaced. I was so scared to do the surgery but it was the best decision I ever made. I have tried everything to slow my ra down nothing has worked. I am now in stage 4. I have never been able to go into remission with my ra. I have had a long hard road since the age of 19 years old I don’t know what a normal life is. I just take it day to day.

THIS. I’ve changed my diet to anti inflammatory to try to “heal” and like I’m going to turn down a Tylenol for a headache. But one thing I don’t play about is my Rinvoq 💅

We are so similar! Diagnosed at 16 as well & refused meds for my entire 30’s! 41 now and on prednisone taper for Sclertis - 4 months on it and it still won’t go away. 😔 Have you had Sclertis?

I haven’t officially been diagnosed by I swear I have it. The joint paint from my fingers and hands and wrists, elbows, ankles and toes can get and stay in so much pain.

my left wrist is the same. 27 years in with RA. I now have several other autoimmune diseases. I totally agree with you and it makes my day that the meds make a difference that it is multiple approaches/ things affect this disease. Thank you for sharing your story!

I know I have the inflammation because I hurt, but I rarely have swelling. So it’s so hard to explain to people!

I agree with you. I see people not being able to walk because they refuse to take medication. and it's so sad the misinformation of medication and thinking that arthritis is just an inflammation disease and nothing can harm you but it can do more than that.

Your video was so helpful and validating. I recently was diagnosed and I felt so much guilt having to rely on medication after being so anti medication. And although changing my diet which I think can help I can say its not the fix at the moment. so thank you for pointing this out! hope you feel better soon.
