@channel408_bayarea: On Saturday evening, September 19, 2026, Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety officers responded to an assault near Central Avenue and Lincoln Avenue, where an adult male confronted three juveniles on bicycles and struck one on the forehead with the flat side of a machete. Following the assault, the suspect fled the scene in his vehicle but was quickly identified and located using automatic license plate reader technology. He was subsequently taken into custody without incident and booked into the Santa Clara County Jail. Fortunately, none of the juveniles sustained serious injuries, and all three are reported to be okay. #sunnyvale #bayarea #crime #help
