Some vegans forget that veganism isn't some sort of law and morally superior thing that everyone should follow but a personal choice, and some people who aren't vegan forget that animal cruelty can be heavily reduced even if we continue to kill animals for food.

Both sides are completely valid imo. In my personal experience though, my parents usually buy from local butchers, and try not to buy from mass produced meat, which is something I can appreciate at least.

Hi I love this I’ve always wondered why everyone is viewing it as a completely black and white issue. There’s so much nuance to it and I don’t understand why certain political groups have to “check” each other. It’s a game of moral Olympics with no point and no progress 😭

see, I know half the time its an Internet thing, cause I work at a restaurant with a huge vegetarian/vegan menu and no ones ever been insane, but on the internet I've gotten death threats

Culture would be my other reason I suppose. I feel connected to my country’s traditions when I eat our non-vegan dishes so it’s given me a lot of good memories in my upbringing

Do I eat meat? Yes do I support meat industry? No, no animals deserves to be shut down in a clean that is so dirty where they don’t even get a ray of sunlight and then slaughtered like they are nothing. I have raised animals of my own so I know veganism is the right way but I like meat too. I might become vegetarian since I love dumplings but rn I cannot my parents do the grocery we barely make ends meet
