Use an arrow and complete the shot, that way the entire practice cycle reveals if you’re getting better or not by the results or action of the arrow. That device seems like a waste of drawing the bow.

Useful when you're messing with the sensitivity on your release. Personally have sent 2 arrows through furniture when I was messing with my release. ..... For those saying just shoot outside at a target , you can't aim a bow mid-draw . Coincidentally, that's when most releases let go when adjusting trigger sensitivity.
