Simple solution for the Cardinals. Get a QB who can consistently and accurately throw the deep ball. I believe they have that guy in Carson Beck who just needs the opportunity. Idk why Cardinal fans or their leadership believed Brissett is some answer. He won them 1 game last year, played like the worst QB in the league and still won’t move on from him. Marv is a TRUE X receiver. When he gets the opportunity to showcase his talent majority of the time it pays off, whole thing with him having brick hands is so dum, sure he’s dropped some passes he’s human, but it does not make him by any means a bad receiver. In fact his drops aren’t even an issue at all he had a true catch rate of 87% last year which is amazing despite him having a 64% catchable target rate. But that’s what they got Marv for. He’s a 50/50 ball receiver who ends up winning most of the time. I can say his biggest issue will always be speed it was his biggest concern out of college and why he didn’t run the 40. But he’s utilized that even in college. Makes a living off the reciever running with him and and not into him ( like they would with faster guys) and means DBs can’t break on the ball and why he’s a good 50/50 type of guy. All Arizona needs is a QB who can give him a chance, turn some of those 50/50 balls in 60/40 and majority of the time he will come down with it. I also think they need a speed demon who can take the top off a defense. This would only help reinforce what the Cards already have in McBride and Wilson but also Forces defenses to play Zone where Marv has shows good skill in, gives him more freedom off the line and opens up his route tree. I do just also think Marv was thrown into the fire completely and was expected to be a Deandre Hopkins typa guy instantly and it’s lowk fuked with his development some. But u get the Cards team a QB and a guy with speed to compliment everyone else, their offense is an automatic issue for everyone else. This was also the method with a guy who had a similar story as Marv in Larry Fitz. Came into the league producing low because of speed. Coaches put some speed around him and found a way to get Larry into just enough space and he became a HOF.
