@chemistry_icon: 🍃🧪 LEAF CHROMATOGRAPHY — SCIENCE ANYTIME, ANYWHERE! 🌈 Using some very old beetroot leaves from the allotment, we can still uncover the hidden pigments inside plant tissue! 🔬✨ Chromatography separates the different pigments based on how strongly they interact with the stationary and mobile phases, producing distinct colored bands. 🌿🎨 📝 Quick correction: Chlorophyll A and B were very close together in this sample, making them difficult to distinguish clearly — so their labels should actually be the other way around!
