let me add. we are never taught black accomplishment in school. Just slavery. my sociology teacher did not know what to say when I said to her this is indoctrination.. we are taught from an early age that we came from slaves, and that whites came from 'royalty', colonisers and winners (ww1,ww2). That mindset already teaches us we are less than in the eyes of britian. 😭..

i do believe that the uk school system perpetuates a lower class mentality and normalises a hierarchy. i also believe education is vital and the way out of this cycle, im just unsure how these two notions coexist

I fully agree with you. Coming from a rough school up north we weren't taught to have dreams (like most American schools) but we're taught to choose a reasonable career

100%! They think that even wearing school uniforms will show that we’re all one, but even with school uniforms, the way you dress it and show yourself, can sometimes show the class you’re in.
