Lindsay Clancy’s defense has filed motions asking Judge William Sullivan to investigate the lone holdout juror, Michael Desronvil — including questions about what he disclosed during jury selection and whether he used his cellphone during deliberations. The defense is also seeking preservation and review of juror-related records. And Reddington is not stopping there. He is also pursuing dismissal of the case rather than putting Lindsay through another trial, including arguments tied to double jeopardy and the contention that the prosecution failed to prove criminal responsibility beyond a reasonable doubt. That means the next fight may not be about retrial strategy at all. It may be about whether this case should even be allowed to go back before another jury. And with an 11–1 deadlock previously reported in favor of not guilty by reason of lack of criminal responsibility, scrutiny of the holdout juror is now becoming one of the biggest post-trial issues in the entire case.
