Episode 7 absolutely broke me💔 I am STILL so mad about Cole and Jackie’s breakup in Season 3 of My Life with the Walter Boys. 😭💔 And honestly, the more I think about it, the more frustrated I get because Uncle Richard and Elliot had NO RIGHT to interfere in their relationship and make decisions that were not theirs to make. That was Cole and Jackie’s relationship. Their feelings. Their love. Their problems. Their decision. They should have been allowed to work through everything together instead of having other people get involved and decide what was supposedly best for them. And you could TELL Cole did not actually want to break up with Jackie. The way he was so emotional afterward, especially when he shut that door, said EVERYTHING. He looked completely heartbroken. That wasn’t someone who was relieved to be ending the relationship. That was someone who was forcing himself to walk away even though it was the last thing he wanted to do. 💔 And we KNOW Cole already struggles with his own insecurities and how he sees himself. So when Uncle Richard and Elliot put those thoughts into his head — that he was a bad influence on Jackie, that he wasn’t good enough for her, that she would be better off without him — of course Cole was going to internalize that. And that’s exactly what happened. He convinced himself that breaking up with her was what was best for Jackie, even though it was destroying him. And the thing that makes it even MORE heartbreaking is that Cole was on his way to see Jackie after the breakup. He was going to tell her that he was still in love with her, that he was sorry for breaking up with her, and that he wanted to get back together with her. And then he flipped his car. 😭💔 That tells me everything. Cole wasn’t over Jackie. He didn’t suddenly stop loving her. He didn’t want their relationship to end. He wanted to fix it. And look at all the scenes between Cole and Jackie. The passion. The vulnerability. The way Jackie could come to Cole with anything. The way they could be honest with each other and work through things together. They had something where they could actually be vulnerable and communicate. THAT is what should have happened. They should have been able to sit down, talk about everything, and figure it out together. If they ultimately decided they weren’t right for each other, that should have been their decision. But it shouldn’t have been made for them because other people decided Cole wasn’t good enough for Jackie. So please, can we STOP labeling Cole as the villain? COLE IS NOT THE VILLAIN. He made mistakes, absolutely. But he was also insecure, emotional, and heavily influenced by the opinions of people who convinced him that leaving Jackie was the right thing to do. And even after the breakup, his actions showed that he still loved her and wanted her back. Uncle Richard and Elliot inserted themselves into a relationship that wasn’t theirs to control, and the consequences were heartbreaking. Cole and Jackie deserved to make that decision together. They deserved the chance to fight for each other. They deserved the chance to work through their problems — because that is what their relationship had shown us they were capable of doing. And I will forever be mad that they were robbed of that. 😭💔 Look at Cole’s face when he shut that door. Look at the fact that he was on his way back to Jackie. Look at everything between them. He loved her. He was hurting. He didn’t want to let her go. He wanted her back. And honestly? I don’t believe their story is over. I truly believe Season 4 is going to give them another chance to find their way back to each other. Maybe they both need time to grow, heal, and figure themselves out first, but I don’t think a love like theirs was written to end with that breakup. I believe Cole and Jackie will try again. ❤️‍🩹 And this time, I hope they get to make the choice for themselves — without Richard, Elliot, or anyone else getting in the middle of them. Their story isn’t over yet.
