I’m not going to lie, I have always wanted a baby. I finally got one at 39. And I now completely understand people who choose to not have children. It is incredibly difficult and your life completely changes. You give up your life to focus on your child’s health, success, development, happiness, fears, future, comfort.

i got my masters degree (first in the family, mind you) and the only "congratulations" i got from my entire 100+ person family was "okay, now that you have your little degrees when are you settling down and having kids?" mind you his kids don't even fw him 😭

I’m a man, but I was also the first on BOTH sides of my family to graduate with my bachelor’s, and with honors too. My mom sent out hundreds of texts, letters, and Facebook announcements bc she was so proud. Like two people said congrats. I went no contact with almost all my extended family. Got married and told no family/made no announcements, they found out in random passing conversations. So many family members reached out to congratulate me and ask when I’m gonna have kids. It’s exhausting how marriage/kids is the only milestone that matters

My sister-in-law used to always ask me when I’m having kids as she was having 3 kids with my brother. Now she praises me for being child free and says she wish she only had 1 😂 mind you they’re older

People at my job intentionally do the job slow cause that’s their only time away from their kids and spouse 😳 we work 4 10hr shifts and don’t have to work Fridays so they will sabotage weeks with a lot of work cause the job is their whole life outside of kids 👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾 it’s sad and disgusting
