Try doing 3 8hr turnarounds a week. Now that ain’t for the weak [Perfect score].. sure you have a long weekend but that 1st day off is either a hell of a rest day , but if not.. your a zombie, forgetting what day it is [Perfect score][Perfect score][Perfect score]

I can tell you the worst part… people calling you lazy just because you’ve already gone 4-5 days on only 2 hours of sleep a day.

I feel so guilty to get my 2-3hours of sleep. I miss taking my kids to the park now my 2yr old the others go to school I give up sleep for family time &fiance time

my shift is 10 to 6am. I'm grateful I get to tuck my kids into bed before leaving. I get off and get them up and to school. I usually run on 4 hours of sleep. It's hard but I dont miss any of my kid's stuff.

For me I go to sleep right after my shift and try to spend time with my kids before I go in but i definitely don’t get enough sleep.

7p-7a, my favorite part is when I get home from work at 7am see one of my kids before hes off to school and cuddle w my spouse for 10 mins before theyre off to work then 2pm when I wake up to see my 7th grader get home from school and we cuddle for a bit in the couch while we wait for my son and spouse to get home from school and work then 6:20 comes and im off to work 🤗 never miss Dr. appts/teacher meetings or after school activities cuz we make sure its in the schedule ahead of time for time off 🤭 .. During my days off I always try to stay up all day til their bed time 🥰 make the best out of our day

I love night shift. I get to do a job I love and dedicate my time to it and then still be there for all of my kids activities along my own hobbies.

Night shift matters to me because I’m able to be present when needed. Sick at school? On my way. Doctor appointment? We’re going program? I’m there? Sleep??? Hardly.

My family never understands why I’m so tired as if 4 hours of sleep is sufficient and that’s on a good day. On the weekends my son misses me so he doesn’t really let me “sleep” he lays in the bed with me just to be with me. I feel guilt about this because I want him to go outside and have fun but he wants to be with me. My favorite part is not missing things school events drop off and pick ups as well as holidays only holidays that are at night or Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. So I’m there.

The only time it really gets to me is when it's the weekend and my kids say I slept forever when I get up at 2pm. In reality I only got 4-5 hours of sleep

I work 12 hour night shift, my favorite part is getting home in time to put kids on the bus and then waking up to get them off the bus to give them a snack. and talk about their day.

for me it's the afternoon when they get home from school. I do all of this for my kids.

I get home just in time to get them off to school, I love being with them to kick off their day. I sleep and get back up when they get back home. We get about an hour together before I have to get myself ready and get back out the door again. Homework and talk time about their day gets squeezed into that hour. I work 12 hr shifts on a 2-2-3 rotation.

I enjoy mornings and being able to get my youngest off to school I’m also still home to greet after school…I work in healthcare so there’s almost always someone willing to pick up a few hours or switch days so I hardly ever have to miss out on school or sporting events as well
