I'm currently at 3 over here, felt like I was dying. They suggested a hysterectomy, I was like wow, that sounds dramatic 😆 So iron tablets and nausea it is for the rest of my menstrual life 🫠

Currently sitting at the hematologist for my consult to start iron infusions. I’m a nurse and it boggles my mind how many doctors dismiss a ferritin of 12. Can’t wait for my hair to stop falling out and for the brain fog to lift.

Been battling low iron and ferritin and folate as well as vitamin D for almost a decade.. even being on iron pills it’s all still low. Spent $400 for a hematologist to talk to me for 5 minutes and tell me they can’t help me until I have my “female issues” taken care of 🙄 like you couldn’t have told me that over the phone before I dropped $400
