They call each other “comrade” because the term comes from the socialist and workers’ movements of the nineteenth century. Originally meaning a companion, “comrade” developed into a political term for someone participating in the same movement. It wasn't invented by the Soviet Union, since socialists were already using it before the Bolshevik Revolution, including Engels in his correspondence, while Russian socialists used “товарищ,” or “tovarishch,” with the same meaning. The Bolsheviks later popularized the term, and communist movements around the world continued using it. Democratic Socialism is good because I like the idea of decentralization, collective distribution and equality but practical communism (which was State Capitalism) and the USSR was just a dictatorship, and it occupied my country, plus lots of countries in Eastern Europe+killed a lot of people for no reason+the countries were oppressed and economically collapsed after the End of the Berlin Wall.
