@lifewithoutboundaries: Unhinged travel agent thoughts: Can we stop acting like experienced travel agents were born experienced? 😂 Every single travel advisor started with ZERO experience. Every one of them had a first booking, a first client, and a destination they had to research. Does experience matter? ABSOLUTELY. But being new doesn't automatically mean you're not good at what you do. Sometimes the person who's newer is the one who's going to spend an extra three hours researching your trip, ask a million questions, and go above and beyond because they're genuinely excited to help you. You can teach someone how to book travel. You can teach them destinations, suppliers, and the ins and outs of the industry. But caring about people? Being willing to learn? Paying attention to the little details? Those things matter, too. Nobody starts with 20 years of experience. So if you've been thinking about becoming a travel agent but feel like you don't know enough, don't let that stop you from STARTING. Get the training, find the support, and learn as you go.
