Jordan before.Pippen averaged 28.2 ppg at 21, was an all star and made the playoffs, then at age 22, he set a playoff record when he dropped 63 and averaged 43.7 ppg against Bird's Celtics, and then averaged 37.1 at age 23..... Lebron didn't make the playoffs his 1st, 2 seasons, but he did make it by his 4th where Lebron at age 22, faced the Spurs in the finals, a team that is considered not as good as Bird's Celtics and struggled while being guarded by 37 year old Bruce Bowen. He played so bad they literally let him shoot because they knew he couldn't make it😂. And no the competition is not better, the 90s have produced more hall of famers and all time greats than any era. And Jordan did average 20 at age 40, during the deadball era, with hand checking and zone defense. So adjusting for pace and rules that's around mid 20's in the modern era.

Just a heads up Michael Jordan didn’t perform good until he had Scottie Pippen and all the other ones LeBron got drafted at 18 and he carried the calves when he was 21. Michael Jordan wasn’t even drafted yet so don’t compare it to. There’s an easy winner LeBron James.
