I take my clothes out of the room and the deodorant, keeping the lights off and quietly get changed, load the coffee machine for my wife and then leave, she turns all the lights on, throws wet towels on the bed, uses the hair dryer and then fills the room with a fog of deodorant and perfume.

Yep. You have to simply get up, shower, get dressed and go. Women mostly have to go through a whole rigmarole of hair and make up (instead of breakfast) think ahead for dinner and arrange childcare/dog care before work…
