If we could pass a measure to buy direct from the PADD2 and PADD3 refineries domestically, we could avoid competition in the global oil market. But only as a temporary measure until the new refiners are built. Check out Tim Burchett's proposal on this.

I'm hoping that this becomes a catalyst of change- we don't need so many trucks on the road; we can support local farms and ranches. We don't need to keep buying products destined for the landfill. Unfortunately, I do think it has to get worse before it gets better.

I’m an engineer at a pump rental company and the price of diesel is important to us as well because our customers use diesel to fuel our pumps. We have electric pumps too but they can consume more power than a single house’s typical distribution. Our electric pumps are also not as capable as our diesel pumps. Many times our customers need to power the electric pumps with diesel generators.
