Hearing the clicking of the switches and watching her push that red throttle knob in and out gets my adrenaline pumping instantly. It’s that exact same rush I get looking at a hypercar—just staring at the sweep of those rear haunches and the liquid silk paint wrapping over voluptuous hips. I used to swear that Piper Tomahawk was going to be mine, but let's be real, that cabin is tight. You sit so close to the elements that it feels like the pressure is going to rip your face off, and because it's a low-wing, you're constantly having to fling the wing up or down just to check your blind spots before a turn. The Cessna 172 is just a much more solid workhorse where you don't have to deal with any of that nonsense. Aviation fuel prices right now are an absolute joke, and I'll have to start from square one since it's been a minute, but getting back in the cockpit is definitely happening. When you've got that kind of passion in your blood, you just have to live life.
