Here is the 100% transparent timeline of the day we finally met our daughter: 🎒 11:30 PM: 出发！We grabbed our bags, knowing the next time we walked through our door, we’d be a family of three. 🤍 2:00 AM: The last fetal heart monitor. I lay in the dark, soaking in our final night of sharing two heartbeats in one body. (I kept waking up with backaches—turns out, those were my first contractions!) 🌅 6:00 AM: The monitor confirmed it: active contractions! Then came the enema. Nobody talks about it, but it’s a quick 5-minute process to clear everything out, giving me complete peace of mind for the big push. 💄 8:00 AM: 3cm dilated. I felt so at peace I even did a full face of makeup. I was incredibly nostalgic to say goodbye to sharing one body, but I wanted to look my absolute best for our first meeting. ☁️ 10:00 AM: The epidural fully kicked in.
