I am still thinking you have Asian roaches. Similar thing happened to us. Our pest control told us that if you have German roaches you WILL KNOW. Like eggs and roaches everywhere. If there aren’t any roaches on your sticky traps they probably aren’t German. The Asian roaches look identical but come in from outside

I don’t think they were German roaches. I think they were Asian roaches. They look identical it’s so hard to tell them apart but good for you for being proactive.

I had a horrible infestation at an apartment I rented to where I literally caulked up even the backing of the oven area to the wall. By the time I moved out I essentially got rid of them myself.

Those aren’t ants. Baby roaches look like ants. I thought they were at first but look closer they have more of an oval body than ants.

if you're not seeing any now then the ones you initially saw were asian roaches. unfortunately they're common in florida now but they look literally identical to germans.

I live in the south too, and I’m from Michigan. I think you are too. I do not try to manage my own pest control. I have hired someone. I am not messing around with bugs in the south.

At 72 degrees it will take about 4 weeks for German roach capsules to hatch. At 90 degrees it's more like 2 weeks. Your pest control person should have told you this. Give treatments some time.

I’m from NYC and used to live in the projects. Growing up we had a BAD roach infestation as well, literally. Roaches were in our fridge, in our cabinets, in the microwave. My neighbor gave my mom this powder which got rid of the roaches in DAYS, the only downside was a lot of roach corpses were everywhere. If you’d like I don’t mind asking my neighbor what he gave us to rid the roaches

They love paper so make sure to set some bait by your books. Hopefully it was just a lonely lost roach.

I have brought in a German roach on 3 separate occasions over the past 10 years- all (3) times thankfully it was only one roach and they were all males. And all of them came in on a delivery box (Amazon, Chewy and the grocery store)!
