Catfish in Uk in takeaways is often substituted by my culture / the Chinese - for Cod - had to laugh 🤣 when you called it a dirty fish and yes Batter fish Only ! Reading this as a Louisianan, I’m horrified that you went to Bourbon St. other for anything other than to drink. Shrimp po boys are good, but you need some gumbo or étouffée but not on Bourbon.

Sha, you will only find authentic Cajun creole food in Louisiana. Nowhere else can be duplicated when you said it wasn’t seasoned too much all I had to hear lol

I’m from Louisiana grew up there until I was 5 now been in Canada ever since but if you have had authentic Creole food and you get it from ones that try you know the difference and as soon as you showed the ban bans was a nope for me even before ya tasted it lol

wow they down sized! Last time we were there it was way more and they were melt in your mouth good! so much has changed! we dont even mess with new Orleans food anymore its disappointing! we stayed between Sulphur near lake charles and Lafayette
