Two stories in particular will not leave my heart tonight, so I’m going to share them as a two-part series I’m calling The Hospital Chronicles. Part One is about the time God placed me in a hospital room with another patient from my hometown who was preparing to undergo the same surgical procedure I had endured seven years earlier. Of all the hospitals. Of all the rooms. Of all the possible roommates. God placed us together. Moments like that strengthen my faith because they remind me that no place is wasted and no circumstance is beyond His reach. Even in hospital rooms. Even in our suffering. Even when we feel forgotten or abandoned. God is always moving—even when we cannot see it.
