Sheikh Ibrahim bin Adel Al-Madani was a respected muezzin of the Grand Mosque in Makkah (Masjid al-Haram). He was born in Madinah in 1976 and grew up in a religious family. His grandfather was a memorizer of the Qur’an, which strongly influenced his upbringing. He later studied Qur’anic Studies. Sheikh Ibrahim began calling the adhan at the age of 15 at a local mosque in Madinah. After years of serving as a muezzin, he was formally appointed as one of the muezzins of Masjid al-Haram in 2017–2018. He became particularly known for his beautiful Fajr adhan, Eid takbeers, and his role in tabligh, helping relay the imam’s takbeers to worshippers throughout the Grand Mosque. He was one of the mosque’s 24 principal muezzins. He passed away on September 21, 2026, at about 51 years of age. Reports say that his final adhan was the Fajr call on the same morning. His passing led to widespread tributes from Muslims who had become familiar with his voice from the Sacred Mosque. May Allah have mercy on Sheikh Ibrahim Al-Madani, forgive him, and grant him Jannatul-Firdaus. Ameen.
