I honestly see why she would suspect. She took her child seriously, as all parents should. But if she did suspect it, why stay with him, why wait to report it? However, I do think he needs to divorce her, for his own safety.

Any parent should have taken that comment seriously and be concerned. Most kids get SA by those closest to them. If I had those suspicions I would have immediately left. Once the trust is broke, you cannot repair even if it is false.
