@nzherald: West Auckland’s mega op shop is a thrifter’s ultimate dream come true, receiving 60 tonnes of donations per month. It is a mismatch of colourful, organised chaos. Walls are lined with large art, mirrors, instruments and tapa cloth. “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure,” Deb Raroa, general manager at the Tipping Point, says of the zero-waste facility. Tipping Point is one of 15 community recycling centres around Auckland. Last year, it got a huge revamp and new, factory-sized building. Reporter Vaimoana Mase went out to see the treasure trove.
