She first set an average time of 4.52 seconds, before breaking her own record with an average of 4.27 seconds. Lian is now the only female cuber in the world to have recorded an average time under 4.5 seconds. But her record isn’t just down to natural-born talent or luck. The girl, who hails from southwest China’s Sichuan Province, spent about 2 to 3 hours a day training over the past year, and has now mastered more than 1,300 Rubik’s Cube solving algorithms. Her parents also took her to Shanghai where she trained with top professional coaches. #mothershipabroad
