@mothershipsg: English footballer Andros Townsend was nearly run over by a motorised pitch roller while warming up for a Thai League 1 match on Sep. 19. The former England winger’s left leg was briefly trapped beneath the roller. Speaking on Piers Morgan’s Football Uncensored, he said: “I thought either my left ankle was going to snap or my left knee was going to snap. I thought I was done.” Fortunately, the 35-year-old escaped with only minor injuries. “A couple of bumps and bruises, but managed to walk away unscathed, luckily,” he said. Despite being urged by his teammates to see a doctor, Townsend continued warming up and later came on as a late substitute in PT Prachuap’s 3-0 victory over Pattani. #mothershipabroad
