the mean of Alone is All in One

Sometimes I still catch myself wondering if something's wrong with me - feeling thrilled about a work trip and sick about leaving my girls, both in the same hour. I don't think I'll ever fully shake that question. But here's what helps me hold it instead of fighting it: 1. The prep isn't control - it's love in advance. I'm not overplanning because I don't trust them without me. I'm overplanning because I can't be there to love them in real time, so I do it ahead. 2. The quiet is a gift too, not something to feel guilty about. A hotel bed, my laptop, an LED mask, and a show nobody's asking to watch with me. This is the version of rest I don't get at home, and I've stopped apologizing for enjoying it. 3. It's not about being perfect. It's about being undeniable. Every scenario I play out in my head isn't morbid, it's me making sure that if anything ever happened, there's zero question how much I loved them. If you’re a working mom that travels - what helps shape your perspective? #workingmom #worktravel #corporatemom #highachievingwomen #momsover35
