@themalaymail: A netizen recently spotted a turtle surrounded by butterflies, making it look like it was having its very own Disney princess moment. Sharing the sighting online, the netizen explained that butterflies sometimes drink turtle's tears to obtain salt and other nutrients, a behaviour known as lachryphagy. And it’s not just butterflies. Moths and other insects have also been observed feeding on animal's tears, while some seek out salts and minerals from other sources, including human sweat. So, if a butterfly or other insect lands on you during your next hike, it might just be after the salt in your sweat. 🎥 Threads/@araziqin_
