He’s a good player but if his name wasn’t Daicos, and if he wasn’t overhyped, people wouldn’t bat an eyelid. He got 3 Brownlow points in a game the Pies lost by twenty points. The Pies came ninth this year. NINTH! Overrated. O-V-E-R-R-A-T-E-D. Overrated.

Enter sour Dog supporters. Sure, the Bont deserves one, but no way was his season as good as Nik's in 2026. Bont should receive an honorary one of sorts. If a player plays x seasons and earns y votes then an honorary award should kick in, where x and y are integer values yet to be decided. I leave that to the AFL.
