@stellaabiodun_: It’s strange how quickly people turned this into a conversation about the woman’s attitude, while forgetting something very basic: being in need does not take away your right to courtesy, consent, or an explanation. Helping someone does not give you permission to ignore their boundaries. If you’re going to film someone, especially someone vulnerable, explain why, where you’re from, and what the footage will be used for. And if they say no, respect it. Poverty should never mean surrendering your dignity.
