A&E doctor laughed at a friends son your bone cancer wont have spread from your arm to neck. Yes bone cancer can do exactly this and yep it had spread. The problem is at the weekend you have maybe one oncologist covering the whole hospital. We have had lots of conversations of ooh never seen a Ewing Sarcoma patient before at A&E - we need to equip the NHS to work 7 days a week and 24 hours a day. The electricity companies manage it - even macdonalds.

Sounds good in theory but in most cases the doctor is just going to cover for the previous doctor/nurses and gaslight the patient.

this should have been in place the entire time. my grandma was treated by so many different doctors for a “stomach ulcer” which they later discovered to be pancreatic cancer, but by that time it was terminal. they should have ruled out cancer from the get go. she was only 60 when she died.

You ask to invoke Martha’s law and the hospital give you a phone number (different for each hospital) It gets you a direct line to critical care outreach normally and a review by ITU outreach so they can look at your situation with fresh eyes and a give critical care analysis
