@itscindybrown: I was the bride who didn’t cry, I don’t know why people find that strange but for some reason they do. But it wasn’t because I wasn’t emotional. I think sometimes, when you’re the bride, you’re so aware of everything. You’ve spent months planning, stressing, making decisions, checking timings, worrying about details, wondering whether everyone is okay, whether everything is running how it should… that even on the day itself, part of your brain is still switched on. And don’t get me wrong, I absolutely loved my wedding. I loved the day. I loved seeing everyone dressed up. I loved seeing people laugh, dance, eat, celebrate and genuinely enjoy themselves. At the time, I think seeing everyone else have such a good time meant more to me than I could even process. But watching this montage back has made me more emotional than I was on the actual day. Because now I can see it from the outside. The faces. The smiles. The little moments I missed. The people I love all in one room celebrating us. It’s strange because the wedding itself lasted less than 24 hours. But somehow, the meaning of that day feels like something I’ll carry for the rest of my life. Maybe I wasn’t the bride who cried in the moment.
