My favorite part of these posts is the support and compassion for those who have reached menopause and or have had hysterectomies. My daughter is a red tent priestess and is amazing. I wish that this had been a narrative in my maiden mother years. Now as a crone, I am so proud of all of you.

this is bernarnas! when I grew up in Utah, I remember many times hearing about indigenous women ("back in the day") were said to have gone to the lake and other bodies of water when on their moon cycle. The N.A. tribes in that area were Hopi, and Navajo. Im curious what plants, water creatures, and organisms in nature are their 'offspring'

I read someone comment that the first women just free bleed everywhere and that’s the birth of mother nature. It was sad in a much more eloquent way, but the imagery was beautiful.

I am just starting out and am on my cycle now. I collected a whole mason jar of my menstrual blood and am currently charging a mason jar of water with a dash of my blood up in the sun. I will also be making moon water with the harvest full moon this Saturday and will be combining that with the sun charged blood/water mixture and feeding it to my plants ☺️💖 I love being a woman!

mt periods have always been hard. I feel so bad for viewing it as a burden. I always felt there was more to periods and being a woman ans connected to the earth, i just couldn't prove it. Our bodies are mini cosmos in human form. we are goddesses here

Traditionally from my tribe in Alaska the story passed down women would go by themselves to a hut in the woods. Menstruate on moss. They’d sit on it while beading, sewing, cook for themselves and bath in the creek. Obviously winter time is different. Blood always went back to the land
