@anetcukavkina: “Fight back.” But where do you actually start? After my last video about HR, I wanted to talk about the practical side: how to find out whether you could have a legal case against your employer. Start gathering your evidence. Relevant emails, screenshots of conversations, meeting notes, dates and witnesses. Put together a clear timeline of what happened. Speak to a solicitor who specialises in employment law and has experience with claims like yours. Ask about an initial assessment and whether they offer no win, no fee, and understand the terms. Speak to more than one to find the right fit. Be aware of the deadline for notifying ACAS. Employment tribunal claims have strict time limits, so check the deadline for your specific claim early. Don’t wait for HR to finish investigating or your grievance to conclude, these processes do not extend your deadline. Consider joining a union early and ask what support they can provide, including representation at formal grievance or disciplinary meetings. You don’t need to know every law. But knowing your options is a much stronger starting point than facing everything alone. Save this for yourself or send it to someone who needs it. 🤍 #EmploymentRights #UKEmploymentLaw #EmploymentSolicitor #WorkplaceBullying #Toxicworkplace
