@thatcatladyjen: Good Morning Everyone! I’m going to try and answer some questions like this going forward. I felt this one was a more important one because I know a lot of you are struggling with this and feeling defeated. After ruling out anything medical, if you have cats that are marking/spraying unfortunately that can be just who they are no matter what you do to try and accommodate and prevent it. I understand this can be extremely frustrating, especially if you’re having a hard time getting rid of residual odor. I use the Enzyme MPC formula from Alden Odor Solutions which you can order online, it smells so good and completely eliminates the odor. I wish I had a solution to the problem for you but sometimes, for some cats, it’s a hard behavior to truly break and you’ll send yourself into mental turmoil trying to figure out how to stop it. I have a male cat that is fixed and he pees on my clothes.. doesn’t poop anywhere, but will pee on our clothes if they are in a laundry basket. I have an automatic litter box and he uses it.. I even have a calming defuser.. vet said it’s a behavioral problem..

Cats that struggle with toilets are so hard to keep in homes, and it’s not their fault, they’re just little forest guys who pee where they pee! I’m so glad that these lil guys get all the love even though they’re stinky dirty babies!

girl you cant use bleach on cat pee it causes a chemical reaction and makes chloramine gas, super dangerous!! only use an enzyme cleaner or vinegar

1 smell that will never go away is cat urine, you will always smell the formaldehyde smell no matter what cleaning product you use.

Please don’t use bleach to clean cat pee! The ammonia can mix and make toxic gas! It’s really unsafe for humans and kitties!

I have a couple of pee-ers in my clowder of 18. I clean it up with vinegar and water then spray Nature’s Miracle liberally on there area. The trick is staying on top of it. I have been in homes where they don’t even seem to bother to try to clean it up and it’s overwhelming. I’ve had people come to my house and not even believe me when I tell them how many cats I have because it smells like nothing. I think part of what people smell when they say they smell Cats is the actual litter itself. I’m not even the dirty of the litter the litter has an odor. I use pine pellets. They’re cheaper and they just smell like pine.
